The drive from Bangalore to Coorg takes about 5 to 6 hours. On arrival, first visit the Cauvery Nisargadhama-A tranquil island dotted with trees and walking paths. From here, you head to Dubare Elephant Camp, wherein you can feed the animals. Finally, finish off the day at Golden Temple, a charming Tibetan monastery. Check-in to the Hotel and relax for the night.
Freshen up and have breakfast in the hotel, then begin the Coorg tour on the second day—Abbey Falls, a lovely waterfall surrounded by coffee plantations. From there, head to Bhagamandala, where three rivers meet. Stop at Madikeri Fort and go around Omkareshwara Temple for a bit of local history and culture. Then enjoy watching the sunset at Raja's Seat and proceed to Talakaveri, the birthplace of River Cauvery. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Have breakfast, check out from the hotel, and start drive for Ooty (about 6 hours). Visit Doddabetta Peak after reaching and enjoy great views of the mountains. Have a calm boat ride at Ooty Lake later. Check into the hotel and relax.
On the 4th day, spend a day in Coonoor for a scenic retreat. A little drive farther from the town of Coonoor offers opportunities to swim in the lap of nature. Begin with a visit to the nice Sim’s Park with many plants. Visit Dolphin’s Nose and Lamb’s Rock for exquisite viewpoints with hypnotizing views of the valley. In the evening get back to the hotel and relax.
Before setting off for Bangalore, this day should be reserved for visits to places like Pykara Waterfalls, Shooting Point, and Pine Forest-all pleasant and pretty spots. Then waving goodbye to Ooty, backward hours of drive, approximately five hours, are all that await you with great memories from the trip.
